Electrical Outlets on Tree Trunk
I spotted this in Luang Prabang, Laos. I couldn’t really understand why.
A few days later I visited the night market which is along this street and they string up electricity for all the vendors. That still doesn’t exactly explain why someone decided to mount an electrical outlet box on a tree trunk but I do believe it was put there in support of the electrical needs for the night market.

I think these are dates on a date palm tree; please let me know if you know for certain. I took the photo at Pura Dalem Desa Pakraman in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
