View of the landscape of Dinosaur National Monument. If you look closely you can see the trail.
Dinosaur National Monument in Utah is isolated, and while the scenery is nice, it isn’t what I would call spectacular. You can spot fossilized dinosaur bones which are amazing in fact, but almost undetectable within the surroundings.
They are about to open up a visitor’s center which might have some nice exhibits (it wasn’t open when I went).

I took this photo while walking from Batu Feringgi to Tanjung Bungah. There were some nice views but it probably isn’t very smart to walk it as considerable distances have no sidewalk at all and you have to walk within a foot of where cars and trucks zoom by. And even when there is a sidewalk you have to be watchful for huge holes, feet across and several feet deep, you could easily fall through.

Antelope on Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake, Antelope Island State Park, Utah. Great hikes and wonderful views, especially with the storm clouds on the day I was there.

Squirrel eating a pine cone at Grand Teton National Park.
Elephants at the Ark, Aberdares National Park, Kenya. A watering hole and salt lick draw in animals for very close viewing. Later in the night a pack of lions stalked a water buffalo.
Dinosaur bone, Dinosaur National Monument. You have to look pretty closely but it is there (about the whole middle third of the picture actually).
