Vehicles like these are the pickup “trucks” of Siem Reap, Cambodia. There are actual pickup trucks but there are 20 times more of these pickup motorcycles used to haul everything as pickup trucks and vans are used for elsewhere.

I spotted this in Luang Prabang, Laos. I couldn’t really understand why.
A few days later I visited the night market which is along this street and they string up electricity for all the vendors. That still doesn’t exactly explain why someone decided to mount an electrical outlet box on a tree trunk but I do believe it was put there in support of the electrical needs for the night market.
